So how did Fox Hollow brides like their cakes from the Fox Hollow? I was talking to the guy from Cakes by Jay and he said you can upgrade to one of his cakes through the fox hollow, but I dont see any reason to if the cake already tastes good. But if it is bad, then I might do it. :)

Do you get to do a tasting before you decide to go with him?

Re: Fox Hollow cake
I had a fox hollow cake and it was great -there are lots of choices between fillings and icings and shapes to make it to your liking. Besides, they also give each of your guest another dessert, and in addition to that at ours they through in this mini vienesse thing where there was ice cream, cookies, liquors.... people were stuffed and very satisfied!
I thought it looked really pretty too, but I wanted something pretty simple...

if we use Jay, he said we can do a tasting, but I dunno about a tasting with the fox hollow. Anyone know if its an in house baker or if they go through an outside one?

Re: Fox Hollow cake
Someone recently posted about their negative experience with Cakes By Jay.
But, to answer your question - we used the Fox Hollow cake and were very happy. We had the yellow sponge w/fresh stawberries and vanilla custard. The icing was whipped cream.

Re: Fox Hollow cake
Fox Hollow's cake maker is a bakery in Bethpage. I think it's called Erga. We actually went over there and tasted stuff a few weeks back. My fiancee and his mom are very into the cake.
Their yellow cake and carrot cake was the best in my opinion. I am not a cake person. In fact, I don't really like it at all but the cakes all look nice and tasted good.
