Fox Hollow Cake

Another post reminded me I wanted to ask this! Fox Hollow told me who they used and I totally forgot cus I didn't write it down! Anyone know? I know they said two different places.

Also, do you know if it is possible to go to these two places and try their cakes and choose who we want?

I s/w someone @ Fox Hollow about this last night...

They used to use Cardinali, and I heard not-so-great things. They recently (within a year) started using Erga, and after tasting, I think they're much better!

ohhh thats who it was! Cardinelli- they told me they now use both. They said they use Erga for the more traditional cakes and Cardinelli for the more intricate and modern cakes. But I think they guy that told us that is no longer there. So i will have to call again to find out! Ill let you all know what happens!

I spoke with Monica Scotto's husband last night.
The standard cakes all come from Erga. If you want to upgrade, you use Cakes by Jay for an additional cost. Jay only does 5 cakes per weekend and he's already booked up for my weekend. If you're thinking of using a fancier cake, I would set up a tasting w/ Jay ASAP so you don't get closed out.

Speaking of that, does anyone know where I can get a good groom's cake?
