I was starting to wonder if I was the only bride getting married at CB!

FH & I completely fell in love with CB immediately upon arrival!

I am also going to be in the Briar Fox room ,and am having the same concerns about the ceiling, I actually think the room is spacios width wise but the ceilings aren't super high. Im going with my planner in a few weeks to check it out. One suggestion for that room would be NO HIGH CENTERPIECES!!! Im hoping I will not freak when I go again because that would not be good!!!

Has anyone booked with any of the house recommended vendors?

We are thinking about using ADA studios for video/photography and Bravura for a DJ

i booked with richard at PWP for flowers

How was Richard, we get a discount if we use him for our reception flowers, but my fiance and I want to stay away from the traditional centerpiece, we want something different? Does he do alot of variations? and how was his pricing if you don't mind my asking?

Im a Chateau Briand Bride! Im getting married on 11/21/07. The only complaint I have about the CB is that b4 I booked with them they promised me no xmas decorations until after Thanksgiving (im getting married the day b4 thanksgiving) but now they are telling me that they will have xmas decorations! ARGH..I was planning a fall theme so it kind of ruins my plans/ideas Besides I think the place looks better without the decorations. I was there last year around xmas and they had a big Frosty the snowman that looked really tacky.

Richard is awesome! Very talented and very honest! He will tell you straight out which flower will or will not work. You should definitely go check him out. I think that man can do just about anything with flowers.

AND his pricing was better than Flowers by Brian and Pedestals!

here's a picture of the same he made for us before booking. We originally wanted something different so I called him up and described this to him over the phone like 2 days before we were going to see the sample and he all but nailed it!

There's a few things we're going to change like, shorter candles, hydgrangea instead of the baby breath, thicker bands of flowers around the base of the candles and adding in some white tulips as well, but for a last minute change over the phone he definitely got it right!

What is the process to iron out all of the details with the Fox Hollow?

I.E. linen colors, where to put placecards - a sample of the menu cards, etc.

Did anyone set up an appt with them? Should I call them to do this?

Do we really not get a tasting? I wasn't aware of that.

I'm wondering the same thing about linens and stuff like that. i might call them.

and no, we don't get a tasting. A lot of places that have a restraunt that is open to the public do not do free tastings.
However the food from what i've heard is PHENOMENAL and if you go to the Resturant and tell them you are gettin married there you can discuss what you want to try but you'll have to pay for your meal.

This is terrible news. We have been there to the restaurant and I am 100% confident that the food will be good.

I just wanted to be able to go there for free and taste all the stuff!

Plus it would help us decide between a few items for cocktail hour.

Timeline for details at Fox Hollow from 07 boards

that's so great, thanks for doin that.

also, i talked to the manager of the Fox and he said that you can work with whatever banquet manager you want. the person you originally met with is not assigned to you or anything like that. most of the people there are great and very helpful.

Hey Girls -

I'm a Fox Hollow Bride in January 2008 - I'm in the Winter Garden Pavillion and I'm at a loss for centerpieces. I definitely want to do something with candles, as we're a nighttime event and i think candles in that room will look AMAZING...

Any ideas/thoughts???

Jess :)

Candle centerpieces will be great in that room... with the high ceilings are you looking to do high cp's? or low?
that'll help with suggestions...

If anyone can give me rates on pp that would help, thanks.

We are doing a mix of high and low centerpieces - both surrounded by candles. This is to take advantage of the WGP ceilings but keep the cost down a bit at the same time.

Re: Fox Hollow/ Chateau Briand Brides

I have no idea what would look good. I was thinking maybe a bowl with flowers sunk into it - but then another part of me was thinking covering a mirror in all different heights of candles... I really don't know if we should go floral or mixed...

I don't think i want high - though it would add drama. I love the idea of both high and low...do you have any pics of what your high & low ones will look like???

Re: Fox Hollow/ Chateau Briand Brides

I don't have a pic but I am doing black magic roses and red roses in glass vases with real cranberries in the vases. candles all around the bottom and rose petals scattered.

I love your idea of using mirrors. It will reflect the light and will look gorgous...maybe I will steal it !
