I've been looking over all my wedding stuff on this snowy snow day. i noticed on my contract with the hall that my wedding is from 8pm-1:30am and that includes cocktail hour and vienesse hour. does this seem really short to anyone? thats only 5 and 1/2 hours total, which at the time i signed the contract i thought was normal but now that ive spoken to some of my girlfriends who are engaged and getting married at different halls im realizing my wedding is way shorter. I'm not sure what i should do? Can any former fox hollow brides provide any insight on this?

Re: Fox Hollow Question
That's right- Fox Hollow only gives the 1/2 hour for the Viennese . Our reception was from 7:30-1
Lame that they dont give you a full hour but thats how they do it.

your vienesse will probably start at 12:30. so if you dont count the ceremony its still 5 and 1/2 hours for cocktails and reception, so i guess its just that their policy is slightly different from other halls.
by the way im in the Winter Garden Pavillion with hopefully an outdoor cocktail hour, if the weather hates me that day cocktails will be in the Briar Fox.

I am in the Garden Terrace room, with ceremony outside and cocktail hour outside (weather permitting) if not, briar fox will have to make due! ;)

I'm 10/1 in the Garden Terrace room 6:30 CH and just wanted to let you know that we purposely went to the FH in late Sept/early Oct to see the lighting outside around 7ish. By 7:30 it was pretty dark and they don't have much lighting outside. You may want to drive by there a week or so before your wedding and decide if you want your guests outside in the 'dark'. It wasn't pitch black but I didn't think there was enough light either. I don't know if I'm going to do mine in our outside (weather permitting).

Thank you for the info. my banquet manager told me that it was pretty well lit outside.. I might have to do a driveby!

Re: Fox Hollow Question
i went there at 8pm on 10/8/10 exactly one year before our cocktail hour would be because i was concerned it would be dark too and it was really well lit, i thought it was good for cocktail but maybe thats just my personal taste i really like a nighttime look and feel
