Fox Hollow Restaurant Q

Fox Hollow Restaurant Q

How many ladies have been there?

If you've booked your wedding there, what did they do for you at the restaurant?

I was told 3 different things by 3 different people (2 BMs and the woman that answers the phone) at F.H. - I was told that dinner is on them, then someone else told me that they'll pick up the appetizer and buy us a drink, THEN i was told by someone else that we're no different than the other restaurant patrons.

You can see why i'd be confused!!!

If you don't want to share on here, you can FM.

Thanks

I didn't book there but when I went to check it out, the man I spoke with told us that if we wanted to try the food we were welcome any time (I think he said we could bring our parents) and that they would foot the bill. He didn't give us any restrictions.

I had a very interesting experience with the restaurant and I am convinced that what you get is based on the size of your party.

For example, I was originally booked in the WGP for CH and Briar Fox for reception. I was told the appetizer drink thing.

Then my party expanded signifigantly and when we went to revise our contract we were then invited to enjoy the restaurant on F.H's dime.

Personally, I think you shoul get to sample the food no matter the size of your party or what you are paying. I have a friend getting married at Jericho Terrace and they fed her family as though they were royalty before they signed a contract.

I think his name was Joe or Frank Marino (?). I believe he was a manager. FM me if you want me to describe him. As for what the bride above me said, she might be right. I had a 300 person wedding, so that may have made a difference.

We were given a full dinner on them. Drinks, appetizers, entrees & dessert.

ETA: My CH is in WGP and my reception is in Briar Fox...and I only guaranteed 110 people. So I don't think it has to do with the amount of people you are having.

oh, another thing:

did you call up and make a reservation, and explain your situation then? or did you make a normal reservation, and explain when you got there?

We ate at the restaurant when we went for one of our last meetings. We let them know we were planning on doing that and they paid for everything- drinks, dinner, and dessert. The food was incredible and the dessert to die for!

Nic, I would call your BM and let him/her know that you would like your complimentary dinner. Then work out a date/time, so there are no surprises.

we're in the garden terrace and they only sprung for dessert. luckily the food was amazing and well worth the cost.... although I'm feeling stingy and bitter hearing the other offers.....

same here. Although we had booked in the what do you call it... the big room. I forget.

We since cancelled our booking with them, and I felt vaguely bad about the dinner... but oh well. I could never afford to eat there if they hadn't payed for it, so I couldn't very well offer to pay them back!

I think maybe it depends on the bm you book with. The guy we worked with was supposedly the 'head' guy, everybody came to him with everything (I forget his name) so he may be one of the few authorized to give a full meal.

We went 'anonymously' while we were looking for a place. Coming from a catering hall background, I know all about A+ ing the prospective customers....this way you get the best idea of how things really are.

BTW: when we asked to see our contact afterwards he bought us drinks and dessert
