FH just went to PWP at Fox Hollow to drop off our final floral payment...
And the outside looks AWFUL. They dug a huge pit along the side of the building and are hiding it with trees just sitting in the main driveway and orange traffic cones. All the way up to the entrance.
I understand they may do this kind of stuff during the week if there are no weddings going on, but it's FRIDAY. Chances are there's something going on this weekend, right?
FH just went into ask them if this mess will still be around next weekend, but I am so upset right now. Nobody even BOTHERED to tell us construction was going on, I only know about the new room they're making due to these boards.
If it looks like this next Saturday, I will scream.

YES! I was heartbroken when they told us that the room where we were having our ceremony was under construction!!! I actually started to CRY because NO ONE called to tell us...they sprung it on us at our final meeting! They did make up for it though in the long run. They made the ceremony room look beautiful (even though it was the same room as the cocktail hour room).

I don't remember what room the ceremony room was supposed to be in but it was on the ground level...we just knew it was definitely NOT the room they told us the day we met for the final payment. I was so upset because they tried to make it sound like that was the original room until I got upset and they brought the manager in. He said someone should have contacted us. Our ceremony room and cocktail room were in the Lantern room (I think that is what it was called). They did make it REALLY nice. As soon as I get back from honeymoon, I will post pics. Our cocktail hour is in the room you ended up using (Lantern Gallery), so I suppose we're safe there as that's probably not under construction.
I'm glad your ceremony ended up being beautiful! They really need to contact their customers as soon as plans change though.

I would flip...truthfully they've really bothered me with how they have handled this whole construction situation. I called my BM at thebeginning and he flat out lied to me about the whole thing. I will seriously go ape on someone if the parking lot is a disaster on my day...or anything for that matter. We're paying so much money to get married, they should really have more respect for us and give us a heads up about these things.

Thanks! I'll keep people posted as to what happens. FH has to wait for the operations manager is in to complain about it. He's going to at least try to get us something for free if it's still going to look like this next week. This is NOT the impression we're paying for.
Like you said, I'm most annoyed by the fact that no one bothers to TELL US this stuff ahead of time. UGH.

Ugh. This better be cleaned up before our weekend! My final meeting is Tues., so if FH doesn't get a straight answer out of them whether it'll be gone or not... can you FM me after your meeting on Mon. and tell me if it's still there? Maybe if a bunch of people complain about it, they'll either clear it up faster or compensate us in some way.

Keep us updated with how they respond. This was one of my concerns as well. My wedding is in July and I would think it would be fully completed by then. I just hope a don't have the problem of whether or not they can handle extra affair this summer.
