does anyone know how many people the winter garden pavillion can 'comfortably' hold for the reception? my fh and i both loved it, but now i am afraid that it might be too small. we are expecting about 130-150 people. i think they said it could hold 160, but i'm not sure how that would look. i think they would have to put 3 rows of tables, but then would the bride & groom's table be hidden way in the back?

Hi, I had my cocktail hour there for my engagement party. I believe he said it holds 180 people...

Agreed with Marcella. I don't think you can go over 180.
Just wanted to add. I am getting married in the Garden Terrace next Oct. That room holds 300, when I went there a couple of weeks ago to check something out, I noticed that two or three tables on each side are behind the bride and groom table. I didn't like that. I don't know why they do that! I know that the B&G table is center with some kind of design on the ceiling. I think I may say forget about the ceiling and move the B&G table back. I don't know why Fox Hollow did it that way.
Did Fox Hollow tell you how much the winter pavilion will hold??? They should let you know BEFORE you give them money!
Good luck!

Re: fox hollow winter garden
we haven't booked them yet although we would really like to. our cocktail hour would be in the restaurant & the reception in the winter garden pavillion (the one with the glass ceiling & waterfall)

OOOH it that room sounds beautiful!!! Well definately speak to the banquet manager about the maximum amount of guests that would fit comfortably! I hope everything works out for you!
I'm glad to hear there 'may be' another Fox Hollow bride out there!

i'm sure there's plenty of room for a cocktail hour, but i'm just concerned about how it would work out for the actual reception. has anyone been to a reception in that room? how many people & how did they set up the tables?

My friend had her wedding in that room last May and it was not crowded at all. Her final count was 145. I believe she had 14 tables some with 12 and some with 10 people. It was 4 rows with 4 tables on either side and then 3 tables in the middle section. Hope that helps.

Re: fox hollow winter garden
I was in a wedding as a BM at Fox Hollow earlier this year in the Winter Garden room. I loved the room, but she had 110 and I thought it was comfortable. I had looked there for my wedding, and they showed me the winter garden room for 150, and I thought it was way too crowded. I think that room is OK for 120 max, after that tables are very crowded.
Also, their table was all the way in the back of the room, which was very awkward since w. the waterfall on, they could hardly hear the toasts (as the DJ booth w. mike was in the front, next to the bar). I think that this was due to the DJ, but I would make sure that you have your DJ mike the room properly.
I think the room is really nice, and her wedding was lovely, but I would look around more if you think you may go up to 150. I saw many rooms that were bigger for that guarentee.

Oh, I forgot to say that I didn't care for that room even though it was beautiful. But it's true the bridal party, bride and groom where all the way by the waterfall and you couldn't see anything that was going on (i.e. the cake cutting, garter toss) unless you got up and went by the dance floor and then you were blocking other people. I totally missed seeing her cake for that reason.
