Foxwoods or Mohegan Sun?

Foxwoods or Mohegan Sun?

So, Boosh and I are planning a little getaway on August -- we want to go to either Foxwoods or Mohegan Sun? For those that have been to one or the other or both, what do you recommend.

We're looking for the following criteria,

1. Price
2. Food
3. Entertainment

Boosh thinks there might have been a recent thread on this, so if so, I apologize and if someone could send me the thread link, that would be great

TIA

Foxwoods has more hotel options. There is one on the property that is not joined to the casino that's a little less expensive (but it has a pool and a shuttle to the casinos).

Both have several restaurant/dining options.

Not much help, huh?

I know there's a hilton close by that has shuttle to the casinos as well. We stayed there last time we were in the area and enjoyed the hotel. We also spent the day tooling around in Mystic and the Hilton was very convenient to the town.

Well, I love Foxwoods. My first time gambling, I walked in, put five quarters into the machine, pulled the lever and CHA-CHING! 1520 Bucks! So I love Foxwoods. I never win at Mohegan. I also watched a special on TLC one time that said out of all the places to gamble in the US, Foxwoods has the highest pay out rate. Don't know if it's true, but my mind likes to think it is, as well as my past with them

I liked the atmosphere better at Foxwoods. I thought they had a younger and more lively crowd. Mohegan is nice, the decor is pretty, but It was an older crowd. Also, Mohegan didn't have any poker tables and DH and I have become addicted to Texas Hold Em. The staff at Foxwoods was so nice. I was watching the poker play and the pitboss came up to me and asked if I wanted to play, he would get me a table, to let him know when I was ready. He kept making sure a waitress came right to us while we were playing. All in all, I just liked the atmosphere better at Foxwoods!!
