I thing the name of the hotel is Florence. Its on the canal.

Venice

I don't know if you've ever been to Venice before but I think you'll love it! I was there on a day trip last year while in Europe. It's like out of a movie. You can't believe all that you are seeing is real. It's so interesting, and the gondola ride is the best! (As long as it isn't too hot, then it can be kind of smelly :-)

We are going to take the train for parts and maybe drive a part. There is a great train/drive pass available in italy. Where are you staying?

We are staying at the Cipriani in Venice for 2 nights then taking a train to Lake Como and staying at Villa d'este for 4 nights. Then we fly to Barcelona for our cruise. We spent 2 weeks in Italy last summer, otherwise we would have spent the whole time there!

A little nervous--that I still have so much left to do. I have all of the major things done but none of the small things. How about you? Btw, which hotel did you end up booking for your guests? Funny isn't it, that are weddings are the same weekend, both out in the Smithtown area, and we're both going to Italy for our honeymoon.
