Freaking Out

Freaking Out

Ladies, some of you might have seen my incessant postings on various DJs. We've seen 5 and heard 2 others play live and we're really not tied to anyone. PLUS, I confused 2 DJs with each other (one I thought was this highly reccomened vendor but he was wasn't; their names were just similiar), so now I'm trying to get an appt for Saturday and he hasn't returned call.

Basically, I'm trying to cut my budget down with my DJ because I exceeded my Photo/Video budget. I loved Tommy's Tunes and Starlight Express but can't afford them.

ARGGH! Why can't I pick a darn DJ!!!!!

i hear you i need an inexpensive dj as well i have to make appointments with them and tommy tunes is one that i wanted to see i already saw body rock, but i know the prices are too much.

i will probably go with vinny from high voltage sounds and i have never even met him yet but alot of the brides who have used him have loved him.

i also went over budget about 700$ for photo so i have to make up for it somewhere
especially since my fh told me that we need to have a video!!!!!

I can't find a DJ myself. I need one that speaks some italian. I didn't think it was going to be so hard to find. But don't stress you will find one. I'm trying to tell myself that too.

I am meeting with Matthew from Acoustically yours they seem reasonable it took a little while for him to get back to me but I am meeting with him on April 4th I will let you know how it goes. if you want to look at the website its ACOUSTICALLYYOURS.com

also another one that I seen that I liked was Thentilnow.com they are pretty good I seen them at a showcase. Another name that I found was L&S Entertainment they are in Valley Stream and the phone number is 516-561-4141 I don't have a website for them sorry

hope this helps some

I just feel like I'm so behind, even though people keep telling me I'm not. I'm just really stressed out right now and I feel like I'll never get anything done. I feel like crying. Too much pressure. I need to quit my job just to plan my wedding.

You are DEFINITELY not behind. FH and I are booking Bravura this weekend, and we are getting married a full month before you. Don't worry -- and definitely don't stress. You will find THE ONE, just like you did with the hall (and your man!) and you will know.

You are not behind! I haven't even started my dj search yet! Try Twice as Good on Myrtle Ave. My friend said they were the dj for her friend's wedding and she really liked them. Plus, they are so close!!

Re: Freaking Out

Thanks girls. I'm feeling a lot better tonight. I spoke to fiance and it's really all in my head. He told me he thinks we're fine and I shouldn't put pressure on myself. I just always need everything to be PERFECT and I have to come to a realization that the wedding won't be 100% perfect, things will go wrong and everything will move and all will have a good time. We have an appointment with High Voltage this weekend and hopefully will get an appt. with another vendor for ceremony music. When that's behind me, maybe I'll freak out a little less. (Who am I kidding?)

Anyway, thanks ladies!

Let me know what you think about High Voltage. I was thinking of making an appt with him myself. Keep me posted please. Happy to hear you are feeling better.
