So i was just reading someones post about black tie v. formal attire and of course it made the wheels in my head turn a little.... flashback to January 2007 at Russos on The Bay.... FH and I are sitting at a table watching the bride and groom have their first dance. For some reason my eyes shoot to the table next to us and there it was...... FH aunt was wearing.....wait....are you sitting???
Ok...FH aunt was wearing a WHITE mini skirt (knit) with a matching top with these GINORMOUS shoulder pads.....white stockings...... ...and....black leather ankle boots.
OH MY GODDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDD
If someone shows up to my wedding with this outfit on.....I will

Re: freaking out!
WOW!! That outfit sounds, um.. Interesting??
FHs aunt already informed me that she is wearing a white, strapless, sequined gown to our wedding because she thinks she looks sexy in it!! I told FMIL to tell her it wasn't really appropriate. Hopefully she doesn't try to rock her boots with it hahaha

Re: freaking out!
ya everyone was kind of like and for the bride....this woman was the only re-re in the place wearing white besides the bride. And it was also her aunt. I can't believe someone is intentionally planning on wearing white to YOUR wedding. Not for nothing though....i'm sure she can't hold a match to you.....after all, youre the bride

Awww thank you, but I'm still horrified that she's planning on wearing it and thinks its great. Plus shes the type who makes a spectacle of herself wherever she goes so it should be interesting .

Re: freaking out!
I don't think this would bother me. How many pictures are you going to get of her anyway? It's mainly going to be you and FH and the bridal party. Besides, the one or two pictures that do come up of aunt crazy I'm sure will provide years of amusement for your future children.

Re: freaking out!
HAHAHAHAHA...that's awesome. I'm kind of worried that people will be dressed very casually since it's an afternoon wedding. Someone made a comment about how they won't have to wear a suit and tie to my wedding. I was like er...why not?!!! I still want my guests to dress semi-formally! I don't want khaki's and a polo shirt!

Re: freaking out!
OMG- I would die laughing. Not only does the outfit sound hideous, but who the heck wears white to a wedding. No freaking way.
I have a major issue with people wearing white of off white, cream, or ivory to my wedding (not even the mothers can wear cream) b/c my dress is like a diamond white. It only looks 'not white' next to 'real white' and I want it to look white, not iviory. So, yeah- maybe I'm a bit of a Bridezilla, but if anyone wore white, they will be escorted out J/K...maybe

haha I have an issue with it too! Alot of people don't think its a big deal, but to me its improper etiquette. My dress is ivory and I think I should be the only one in a white-ish color IMO.
