Freaking out
So my make up artist - who I know personally - just cancelled on me 3 days before my engagement party.....he emailed me after i emailed him to confirm the time.....when did he plan on telling me? the day of the party? i am fuming right now!!!!!! now *** am i supposed to do? i LOVED how my make up came out - i'll be lucky if i can find someone to do my make up on such short notice - and its not like I have time for a trial so I wont even know how it will come out! I am totally freaking out - apparently he has to work on a movie now so he can't do my make up - well then don't book appointments if you get per diem work and might have to break them!!!.....this is what I wrote back to him:
Ohhh well this was for my party and now 3 days before you are telling me that you can't do it? How am I supposed to find another make up artist in 3 days notice - and not even have a chance to do a trial with them? I wish you would have told me that something like this could happen because then I wouldn't have booked with you. I made the appointment almost a month in advance to guarantee that you would be available. Now I am out $65 because the trial you did was pointless. I was counting on having you do my make up. I scheduled my other appointments around you too. If you can't keep appointments then you shouldn't book them. Is there anyone else that you can recommend or have come to my house to do my make up that day? I don't know what am I supposed to do now? My party is in three days and now I am freaking out because my most important appointment is cancelled :(
I liked your make up so much that I wanted to use you for my wedding but how I am supposed to feel comfortable knowing that you can cancel on me at any time? You should take your appointments more seriously because even if its not important to you, its important to the client - this is my engagement party not just a trial.
Is there anyone that you can have cover for you to do my make up? What happens in these kind of situations? Especially when you cancel at the last minute?
Well I am still waiting for a response but I just got an appointment with a girl at the hair salon I am going too - but I really have no idea how the make up will come out.......I was SOOO looking foward to having my make up done - I really loved how it came out........![]()
