Freaking out

Freaking out

Ughhh, I can't believe that after the holidays my wedding will be almost 1 year away (2/13/10) We just got engaged in September, and all we have done thus far is choose the Reception Hall. I am very worried that I won't be able to get everything done. I am worried that I will meet different vendors and not be able to make a choice. I am worried I won't be able to find an officiant! I am scared of making the wrong decision and not being able to get it all done. I don't even know who's gonna be in my bridal party yet! So far I only have 3 people!

Deep breath in ; deep breath out . You will be okay. You're going to get everything done with plenty of time to spare. You'll make great decisions and everyone will have a good time at your wedding. No worries.

no freaking out!!!!! make a list of things that you need to get done.. the knot has a wedding timeline... you dont have to follow the 'time' but its a good list so you know what there is to do...
just be confident in your decisions and pick what YOU and your FH like..

don't freak out you are totally fine! Plenty of people plan weddings in 1 year and sometimes even less. Just start booking your major vendors right after the new year!

Everything will ge done and be great. I agree with making a list, so that you know what you have to do and also feel a sense of accomplishment when you get to check something off.

it will all come together, make a list as you remember stuff...yes the list is long but most of it is little stuff. i had a hard time picking out vendors, but you get to a point after seeing 6 florists, its time to make a decision. so don't worry it will come together....or just hire a DOC!

No freaking out allowed!!
Like everyone else said, make a list and go by that...I found some on martha stweart weddings that i really liked (they also have a GREAT budget tool to use)

A DOC is good if you have alot going on the day of your wedding, they will make sure everything goes smoothly. I know stineandandy has one, try fming her for price and things like that...

I think you will be just fine. Take this time to really enjoy the planning process. When you have free time at work or on the weekend make those phone calls and do a little research on the internet so you can start scheduling your interviews. I think you are off to a great start, just don't make it a time where you are stressing more than you are enjoying yourself.

Re: Freaking out

hey stacey..no freaking out....there's girls who plan their weddings in 6 months.

map out your vendors...the order in which you want to book them..i suggest photographer and dj/band next. do some research...maybe start with your hall's recomended vendors..do some research on them, check out their reviews and set up an appointment

before you freak out about not being able to choose a vendor..meet with them! you may fall in love with the first one you meet and not have to worry. go with your gut feeling about the vendors. its not so hard. just be like...ok teh next 2 weeks i'm meeting photogs....few weeks after lets do dj appointments, etc.
its not so bad..
if thatdoesnt work....drink a glass of wine lol

Don't stress it, do like the other girls say, make a list and check things off as you go along. You'll be fine.
