I don't know why i'm so nervous to start shopping for wedding gowns. but ... tomorrow is my first appointment and i have no idea what to bring!!
a strapless bra, obviously. which i have to buy tonight!! should I bring shoes?

OMG I was so nervous before my first appointment! I was so spazzy before my appointment! It was such excitement but such nerves!
I'd just do a strapless bra. I didn't bother with shoes, but I'm 5'9 so I knew I wouldn't be tripping over a skirt. If you're shorter, maybe bring a pair of comfy heels. Something to put your hair up with! Both to get it out of the way, because this is a workout, but also just to see how a dress looks with an updo. Oh! And nice underwear that you don't mind people seeing LOL
Just leave your modesty at home :)

yes bring shoes. some places have them. wear nice undies bc the consultant may or may not be in the room with you!

I always wore a strapless bra, boy shorts, a hair clip or ponytail holder, and brought my shoes. It made jumping in and out of dresses so much easier and faster and I was comfortable at the same time. I would maybe even suggest wearing Spanx if you think you'll prob wear one the day of.

definitely nice undies...I wore stupid ones and kept trying to hide from the consultant lol. Strapless bra and shoes too. They will give you different things to put in your hair. I was stressed too but everything went perfectly,so perfectly that my mother and I were actually shocked because sometimes I can be a tad bit bratty lol

I dont think you need to bring shoes. Once you choose your dress & start alterations then you bring your shoes. If you have your strapless bra or corset I would bring that.

I didn't bring in shoes either, not until I had to do alterations. I used their shoes when trying on dresses. Hope you have a great experience.

tomorrow i'm going to lillette's.
i have two strapless ... one with wiring and one just with soft cups ... neither will give a good idea because i hate both, but i haven't had time to find a proper one. oh well.

DEFINITELY full coverage undies! I didn't think of it when I went, and I was mortified the entire time trying on dresses in a thong. Not my smartest move, but at least I know well enough not to make that mistake again!

I had a GREAT experience at Lillette's!! I found two dresses I absolutely fell in love with. I worked with the owner, Donna, and Christina. They were both SO sweet, patient, and helped me to feel so comfortable! They didn't rush me at all, and kept asking me if I wanted to try on more. I think I tried on over 10 dresses.
I am planning on trying to swing back there next week after my appointment at Village Bridal in Babylon. I'm taking my MOHs as well as my mom and I can't wait for them to see these two dresses. I'm literally having the hardest time making a decision!
Christina and Donna were great - they didn't try to force me to commit, they actually encouraged me to wait, to come back after I thought about it.
