freaking out a little
sooo as much as i loved the actual artistic part of my engagement shoot photos...i HATED the way i looked in what i was wearing...out of all the pictures we took, i only really liked the ones that were far away or were pictures of us holding hands, or of our dog! most of all, i really didn't like the way my arms looked...so now im freaking out because my dress is strapless and i wasn't really planning on wearing anything over my arms, but i don't want my pictures to look crappy! im already doing weight watchers and lost about a little more than 15 lbs, but i need to tone up my arms, big time...i don't really have time to get to the gym...HELLLP!
and ps...now i don't have any pictures for my save the dates...so i have to do a card

look online for a quick workout video for toning arms, I'd go to sports authority and just buy 2 hand weights maybe like 5-8 lbs, and do the videos online that are free each day, remember to switch it up a bit like do a different video each day, and you should see results, also push ups are great for your arm...I love this site..and its freehttp://toneitup.com/

weights, focus on a good upper body workout and I agree about the pushups, those are the best. At the end of the day, diet is really important. You could build some nice muscle, but unless you are somewhat lean, it will be hard to see!

P90 or P90x. Def suggest, it's a little tough but they teach you how to modify everything. You will get toned no doubt about it if you stick with the program. I've always been in decent shape but I went from being able to 1 pull up to 8 in about 7 weeks. It's a really great program lol my friends always joke that I should be a sales person for it. I just think it's amazing and it's the only time I've seen true results before from a workout program.

i have heard that insanity is better due to not needing the weights. FH wants to do it.As for working your arms, honestly, go talk to a dancer. I mean a real dancer, not just someone who hits the clubs. they have the best workouts! they are always toned and light. a friend of mine used to dance, and she taught me some of the things she did and i definitely love my arms now.
for instance, she told me that to tone the underside of your arms, hold your hands together straight over your head. elbows pointing forward. bend them so your hands touch the back of your head and then straighten. do this atleast 10 times a day. you can do it both arms together or single arm at a time (I tend to do both). You can add a small weight to it to help, but it isn't necessary.

I just looked at your engagement pics and you are being way hard on yourself!! Definitely a couple that you can use for STDs. We are always our biggest critics but really girl you look good. I can understand wanting to tone up for the wedding but don't ignore the accomplishments you have already achieved, 15 pounds is great! You have to start somewhere right?

I agree! Your pics are great! Very cute and unique! I understand you want to look your best on your wedding day - we all do! But remember FH proposed to you before you started worrying about your arms. I bet he loves being wrapped in them! There are some great videos on youtube for arm workouts - and I agree with the other girls, free weights are a great tool. Don't be afraid to use a little more weight (maybe 8 lbs). But don't freak out. You look lovely and you're going to rock your wedding dress. You will be the prettiest girl at your wedding BY FAR. No one is going to look at your arms, they're going to be looking at your smile.

I agree! You look really nice in your engagement photos & I didn't even notice your arms. I guess we critisize ourselves more than others and look at details that others don't notice. I agree that loosing 15 pounds is great! And it can only get better from here! I like the shake weight. It comes with a 6 minute vidoe and you really feel the burn afterwards. I would do it every day (I need to listen to my own advice)! LOL

i agree - your pictures are beautiful and i bet noone will even notice your arms. and if they do - then its their problem!!! you look beautiful the way you are and you shouldnt have to worry about this on top of everything else.that being said, we wanted to tone up for our wedding too - we started going to planet fitness and then hired a personal trainer (i would love to give him a recommendation - very affordable and fantastic. fm if you would like details). today im seeing great results and people at the gym are always commenting on my arms or legs. its a great feeling. you can totally do this if its what you want :)

IMO P90x. Insanity is more cardio based and you will def burn calories, but I think P90x does a better job of mixing in cardio with weight training and it's pretty much proven that in the long run you will lose more weight with a regime that includes both cardio and strength training. At the end of the day you want to convert fat to muscle because building muscle mass in the body burns more calories (increases metabolism) than just getting rid of fat alone. Plus if you want to tone up, you def need to incorporate strength training into your workout. And, no I don't follow the P90x diet, but I try to eat a relatively healthy diet 5 days a week and count caloried using the my fitness pal app. The weekend is another story (I am italian and love my sunday dinners)!
Any way good luck. I think you look great, but if you don't like something than change it, if I can do it anyone can :)

Re: freaking out a little
You don't need to invest in weights and a pull up bar you can use bands for everything which are much cheaper. But I bought a set of click weights from walmart, I think they were $40-60 and go from 5-25 pounds and a pull up bar from CVS for $20 bucks.

Ive heard crossfit is a tough but really good workout. Lucille roberts had some awesome toning classes as well. You look great and so do your pics! 15Lbs is an awesome start. I know how you feel though I lost a ton of wait and put it back on and almost didnt even try on strapless dresses because of my arms/chest. But I ended falling in love with a ballgown so im buying a little jacket in case they're not toned enough come by wedding day. Also my std have fall leaves on them, everyone has seen most of my pics of FH and I no engagement photo shoot here :/
