MY MOH (SISTER) NEVER WENT TO GET MEASURED FOR HER BRIDESMAID DRESS. SHE WAS LIVING IN ANOTHER STATE AND IN THE PROCESS OF MOVING..ANYWAY MY MOM ORDERED HER A SIZE 10. WHEN SHE WENT TO TRY IT ON A FEW WEEKS AGO I WAS THERE -BOTTOM FINE -TOP TOO SMALL. I STARTED TO GET UPSET AND SAID IF WE HAD TO I WOULD PAY FOR ANOTHER DRESS. THE WOMAN HAD ONE OF THE TAILORS COME OUT AND SHE SAID THAT THEY COULD TAKE IT OUT A LITTLE AND THAT IT WOULD BE FINE.WELL...........MY SISTER TELLS ME LAST NIGHT THAT THE TOP DOESN'T FIT AND THEY CAN'T DO ANYTHING. I AM NOW GOING TO TRY TO CALL AFTER SIX AND SEE IF THERE IS ANYWAY I COULD GET ANOTHER DRESS. **I AM GETTING MARRIED IN 5 DAYS** WHAT THE **LL DO I DO?????

What material is it? Can you go to a fabric store and buy something close and have the seamstress add the extra material in on her sides where her arms will cover it?

OMG, you poor thing! Okay, take a deep breath. If there is nothing that can be done to get another top, have you considered getting a dress off the rack somewhere? Maybe a bridal shop has a sample they will sell, I hear at Davids bridal you can buy off the rack. Try Jessica Mclintock, or Pzaz in Centereach. Don't worry, this can be solved, and no one will know the difference.

Take a deep breath!! Since she is your MOH, it wouldn't be too bad if she wears a different dress from the other girls. If they can't get you a new one, try going to macy's, david's or any other shop where you could get a dress off the rack in the color you want.

Take a deep breath sweetie!!! Since she is the MOH she can be in a different dress then all the other girls which is a plus. If she is out by you go to Macy's or any other place that has formal wear and buy one off the rack. You can get the alterations done at a taylor shop but it is going to be $$ due to the lack of time.
If she is still in another state have her go to get her measurements profesionally done at a dress shop or by a streamsress. With those measurements you can buy a dress off the rack at a formal wear store. What area do you live in then I could give you some stores to try?

What about the store's sample dress? Usually it's a 10 or a 12. Call around to other stores who sell the dress and find out what color their sample is, and what size. Most stores will sell it to you, especially if you're in a pinch. Good luck!!!

Luckily she is the MOH and is the dress simply wont work she can wear something else. Is there any way she can use the skirt part and get a top? Good luck with After 6.

Well, since it's your MOH, she could be in a diff. dress than your other girls. Try getting something off the rack that is a complimentary color to your other girls. Good luck.

I had the same problem with a bridesmaid dress I wore a few years back. They ordered the size 3 sizes to small and wouldn't let me come in for a fitting until 2 weeks before (long story), but what they did was they called up the dress manufacturer and got a piece of the material and added panels to the side of the dress. Most of the dress makers have offices in Manhattan so this bridal shop has someone drive in and pick it up.

I agree with the girls - worst case off the rack! Try Macy's or Nordstoms or Lord and Taylor and I even heard that Filene's Basement has got some of the prom dresses still out!

the maid of honor can definately wear a different dress.. with this amount of time id say to find one off the rack.... perhaps estelles dressy dresses on rt 110 farmingdale.. they use to cary alot..
