'Free' iPod deal, worked for coworker so I figured I'd post it
First off, I don't want to upset anyone by putting up this post - just figured I'd try this after a girl at work got her free iPod in the mail. Now, keep in mind it's not totally free - nothing ever is...but here's the deal
1. Join the site (yes this probly means a million junk emails)
2. Sign up for a company's service (ie. Columbia House, BMG, the New York Times) I did it b/c evn if I never get my free iPod I just got 7 CD's for Christmas for only $19.97
*3. The trick - you have to get 5 friends to do steps 1 & 2 and use you as a reference. I have 2 references so far and I figured even if you don't use my link below you might be able to get a free iPod for someone else and eventually yourself.

TIA for letting me post!

Are you sure your cocworker actually got an iPod? It sounds like a pyramid scheme to me!I've seen the EXACT same process, but it was for free movie tickets, it's also been done for other free stuff, I really doubt that it's legit, but let us know!

Yeah she had it delivered to the b/c she's never home. We were all shocked she actually got it! There was something about how college students are doing this on CBS News but it was lst Monday & I missed it.

And what do you have to do as far as commitment to these companies that are participating?I saw a similar deal for an XBOX. You have to sign up for Netflix, Discover Card, BMG, or a host of others. I don't need any of these services. So if you need or were thinking of using the services I think it's ok.
Only with the website in the email I didn't have to get others to sign up.
Best Wishes,
Thomas

i signed up for it. i still need 2 or 3 more people though. when i signed up all you had to do was create an ebay account and then bid on something.. so it was totally free. now i don't know what the offers are.i just didn't have anyone else to post the link to
