I used Mac for my E-pics and they did a great job. They said all I would have to purchase is the eyelashes but I love Mac's Makeup so I bought a couple of things.

go to any makeup counter. get the trial and they ask you to buy 3 things.
go to a different location and return them

Clinique @ Macys does free make-up trials.. I think you'd have to make an appt in advance though.
