Free Outdoor Photo Locations for TTD shoot.

Free Outdoor Photo Locations for TTD shoot.

Anybody have any ideas? I'm stumped. It's not for me, but they would like something outdoorsy... maybe fields, forests, trees to climb, something on a lake? Anybody? Bueller?

ETA: Willing to travel a bit for a good location! Located in Queens but willing to go all over LI, Manhattan, Brooklyn, Bronx, etc.

I'm just naming anything that comes to mind:

- Prospect Park - Has all the outdoorsy stuff, water, and their boat house is beautiful!

- NY or Brooklyn Botanical Gardens? Although they might have a fee.

- The new Brooklyn bridge Park - Some park atmorsphere with the city views as well

- Marine Park / The Creek in Brooklyn

- Queens County Farm Museum

Thank you!!! I was drawing a blank and being google-lazy. Queens County Farm was the one I was really thinking of. Thank you!

ETA: NY/Brooklyn Botanical definitely have fees, but since it's amateur-ish, she might be able to get away with it. Hmmm... I didn't even know Prospect Park had a Boathouse! Interesting!

The arboretum in Oakdale is beautiful, lots of trees and right on the water. Im not sure how much of a fee there is, if any.

I don't know how helpful this will be BUUUT if you check out North Island Photography, he seems to use a lot of fields and tree'esque type places in his photos.

Maybe ask someone who did e-pics with him where those photos were taken.

I know Kedra, on the 2011 board, did - they are done with an old red pick up in a large grassy field.

OHH also - I was going to say a vineyard.... Lots of them have property next to larger grassy areas.. I am sure you could just drive down the north fork and find a couple spots.

I love the Queens County Farm!!!!

Prospect Park is actually really nice. I even think in the summer they have a gondolier guy at the lake for rides. here's some pics...

OHHH another one.

Pearsall's Park in Amityville - hopefully taking my wedding pics there this Saturday.

Buy it's smaller - but def free - and it's really just an open green space with some trees and benches.

Same place Jessie took her photos after her wedding actually - might be something to look into.

a school playground
jones beach

NYBG & BBG do have fees and if they see you taking pics in a wedding dress i am pretty certain they will make you stop...not worth the hassle of driving there and being unsuccessful
