Trying to decide on what to do for my bachelorette party. We want to stay on LI, but want to do something Different. Are there any fun restaurants for dinner, then good dancing bars in Freeport or huntington?

Re: Freeport or Huntington Bars
In Huntington, Lola and Red are both great places for a nice bachelorette dinner....so is Blue Honu, which is a few doors down from Red. Then, you can go dance at Chesterfields or Finleys!
I went to dinner with my girls and some friends at Bistro Citron in Roslyn after a mani/pedi day at TCarlton in St. James. It was fun, different, and relaxing. And not a cheesy stripper in sight! ha ha! Good luck.
oh, PS: Good choice with Timepiece!

I think you will be bette roff in Huntington b/c I feel that Freeport is more of a summer place...and their hours are very weird once the fall starts, plus sometimes I think Freeport is overrated..JMO

I would go with Huntington. Also, I second the Blue Honu. I've been there a bunch of times for dinner and drinks and it's always been great.

No they aren't, but there are cabs at the train station, and it's not a far drive, so it would be cheap.

Great dancing at Finley's in Huntington and a ton of nice restaurants there.

i agree about lola and blue honu in huntington. i've never been to red but i've heard good things. there's also pancho villas if you're thinking about mexican food. finley's is a good bar, but might be a young crowd depending on your age. christopher's is more quiet. there are a lot of restaurants down there...just depends on your style! good luck and you'll have fun.

No, but you can get a pretty inexpensive cab to town. Also, if you stay at the Marriot in Melville - I think they provide shuttle service. One restaurant that nobody mentioned was Fiddleheads...I loved it and I don't even like seafood. They also have live entertainment and the bar gets pretty crowded. I like Blue Honu for drinks - best coconut martinis - but I don't like their food. If you want steak - go to Jonathans or Able Conklins. Finley's has bands later in the evening.
