I had to take the picture myself which wasn't such an easy task.
The tips of my nails are done in the white powder acrylic w/the soft pink over the entire nail. I love it! The colors don't chip away and I go for fill-ins every 4 - 5 weeks. When their growing out, the growth is not noticeable as the polish does.
I pay $20 for this, but I'm sure that on LI, the price would be much more.
Hope you like

I also thank everyone for their advice. I finally had mine done on Voice Road in Carle Place. It's right next to Party City and I think the name is Fantasy, but I'm not positive. They came out really beautiful and they cost $65. I got the Permanent French with silk wrap extensions and he kept dipping them in a powder. The fellow who did them, Kevin, spoke some English and he kept reassuring me they would come out nice.
I'm not one to wear gloves while using bathroom and kitchen cleaners. It's been a week now and they still look great. Although perfect for the wedding, they are longer than I would like for everyday use. When they are shortened, what do they do to maintain the French manicure - replace the entire nails? I'd love to hear about what I will need to do in the future to keep them looking great. Thanks.

I have my nails shorter...i can't function with long nails! So, every other time, they redo the white part and that's how they look like the real thing every time:) Aren't they great?

a lot of people recommended Angel Tips -- I did a search for them and found that they have several locations (I guess they are a chain). That's where I had them done yesterday and am pretty happy (but this is the first time I'm doing them so I don't have anything else to compare too
