I just read in last month's Allure that french manicure is out- just as I has mine done that way. :(
What do you think- in or out?

I've had LCN for 5 years, so I've had a 'permanent french' since then
this may sound stupid...but what's LCN??
Light Concept Nails. It's a German product. It's non-porous and is light-cured

Oh good!!! I thought LCN was large cell neuroblastoma. I know some diseases affect your nails, so I googled LCN, and the german product came up, but also large cell neuroblastoma came up. Glad to hear its the first you have!!

I dated a French guy years ago. He had no idea why French manicures were considered French. Anyone?

French Manicures may not be trendy but they are classic and timeless. They'll never go out of style!

I've actually never been a huge fan of the French manicure, but DH likes them so I did have it for my wedding.

Re: French Manicures- In or out
I think I heard recently that they were out as well. It won't deter me though, they are my fave type of manicure. I would get a French everytime, but I like variety as well.

Gosh everyone, NO I do NOT have a nail disease
Just really expensive fingernails
Let me try to get a pic.
Keep in mind, the idea is for them to look natural
After discussing this with you ladies, I googled French manicure and found out that it isn't really french and that Orly (nail product company) created the French manicure in 1975 when anything that was considered French fashion was 'in'

Re: French Manicures- In or out
I used to get them all the time, but I got sick of them, so for the past year I've boycotted.
Guess I'm ahead of the 'in and out' trend!
