Fresh Flowers On Cake

Hi Ladies,

I was wondering, should the fresh flowers on your wedding cake match the flowers you are using in the rest of your wedding?

Our white, blush and pink colored centerpieces are mixed with lilies, roses, dendrobium orchids, a few callas, stock and other fillers.

My bouquet will be similar to the one attached.

The BMs bouquets will have pink peonies, pink roses and light pink callas.

So I was thinking of using orchids (see attached pic, but only the white ones, not the green) on the cake as I like their look, but they don't tie in to the rest of the flowers.

Please help. Thank you!!

i think if the colors go, you are fine - don't worry about matching the flowers. i love the orchids on that cake!

I dont think the flowers on the cake have to match perfectly, you can do whatever you like. I love calla lillies and I will be having those incorporated in my bok's etc along with other flowers, I like this:

I think the orchids will look fabulous! The flowers do not have to match! Do what you want!!

i matched flowers but only because my entire wedding was drenched in a Rose theme lol. as long as the colors go i think u're fine

You don't need to match all your flowers. Your bridesmaids and your room (or caked) don't need to be the same. The orchids are BEAUTIFUL!!!!
