Fresh Flowers versus Silk Flowers?

Fresh Flowers versus Silk Flowers?

I want to have my wedding reception with silk flowers instead of fresh ones because they are so much cheaper. Has anyone ever seen bouquet with silk flowers? Do they look tacky?

i was going back and forth with this for so long. I ended up getting real flowers, but some of the silk or real touch bouquets are so beautiful!

here are some I found on etsy

My sister in law is extremely allergic to real flowers so she used silk flowers. It looked great!!! You can tell a difference in the picuters and they look perfect too.

i think it depends on the quality of the silk flowers you buy. the cheaper ones look cheap and imo tacky. but they do have some realistic ones out there if you are willing to spend a little more money

If you get high quality flowers like the one's shown here, you wouldn't even be able to tell the difference. Is it really cheaper though?

Some silk flowers make really amazing boq's and you wouldnt be able to tell a difference. Some florists mix faux with real too, but I do alot with faux flowers and you might really want to look around and check prices. Depending on the flowers used it might end up being close to real flower prices. For ex: if your using faux white peonies wedding quality they can range from 5.99 to 9.99 each stem for a full bok and adding other flowers and filler and ribbon/ handle wraps it could go up to costing $80 or more. If you were going for a smaller bok. Could be cheaper and if factor in any discounts, coupons deals. Shop around faux could be just as beautiful as real.

I have silk flowers on my CP.

I wanted them to be able to last with the branches so chose silk and they were a little cheaper and I could get the color I wanted
