I am wondering what day(s) are you taking off prior to the Friday wedding? I was going to take Wed., Thurs., and Friday...but is that too much time prior? Let me know your thoughts...Thanks!

I am a teacher, so I actually have off before my wedding, but if I weren't- I would probably take off Wed, Thursday and Friday.
Run errands Wed Nails and stuff Thursday Friday- Hair /Makeup

I'm only taking off the Friday. But that is not normal, most people take at least the thursday. I think you taking Wed-Friday sounds good. I wish I could.

Mine's pretty far off, so I hadn't even thought of that yet. I think wed-fri is a good idea though. i'll probably do the same.

I was married on a Friday. I have off on Wednesdays so I took off Thurs and Fri.

I believe a boss would 'charge' you for a wedding day...my boss is coming to my wedding, and he is a good guy...he lives up to his word...(a bit long here)...he had me 'quit' my job and come work for him at his company (too detailed to explain) at Citibank...w/ that i had to give up a week paid vaca for getting married from the other firm...so he said IF i ever get married he'll give me a week...well, guess what...he is giving me that promised week off, so 2 weeks and 3 days off...but it is a long way off..i need a vacation soon!! I'll have a few extra days to use this summer, but it's just not enough!

I'm not a Friday bride, I'm a Saturday bride, and I'm taking the Thursday and Friday b4 my day, so I dont see y a Wednesday and Thursday days off b4 ur Friday wedding is too much at all... go for it.

Im a teacher as well, but usually work over the summers as a teacher at a camp, so I'll probably still work there over the summers... but only the first session, so I think that I'll take the week off before hand to just calm down and make sure things are OK
