What time is your ceremony and reception??? My rental hall is letting me start whatever time I want.. But Im worried about the chirch, me and FH have a very large amount of family that lives in Brooklyn /Manhattan so I was worried about them sitting in rush hour traffic to get to the ceremony. I am also worried that If I start it too early many people wont show up to the ceremony... What are you guys doing
Im thinking 430p or 5p ceremony and 730p or 8p reception?

Re: FRIDAY BRIDES
It was driving me crazy with the changes. I decided to have the ceremony at the reception hall. I think it will be better that way. My Ceremony is at 7PM. Gives everyone time to arrive.

Re: FRIDAY BRIDES
Our church is at 3 cocktail hour starts at 7. We're not having a full mass either, but we'll do a receiving line after the ceremony. But we definitely wanted to play it safe with the rush hour traffic since we're going to Nassau from Queens, and wanted plenty time to take pics in between so that we could enjoy coctail hour as well.

Re: FRIDAY BRIDES
We are gettiing married at our RH so everything kind of happens all in a row. Our ceremony is at 5:30/cocktail hour at 6/recpetion at 7
My concern was since it was winter and the sun sets early, I dont want to miss out on pictures so I think we are going to do a reveal where we do see eachother before the ceremony.

Re: FRIDAY BRIDES
My ceremony is at 5:30 and the CH begins at 7. I chose that time because it only takes 30min to go from the church to the reception hall. I might have to do pictures beforehand because I don't want my guests to have to wait too long after the ceremony. A lot of them are OOT... Then again, I could make the ceremony earlier, do pictures after, allowing my guests to check into their hotels if need be... I dunno...

Re: FRIDAY BRIDES
We are getting married at the RH, our ceremony is at 6:30. But he gave us the option of having the ceremony at 8:30, but we felt that was too late, since the reception would be starting at 10.

Our ceremony is at 4pm, and reception starts at 7pm. We paid an extra $2pp at Crest Hollow to get 'hospitality services.' Basically, people can come to the RH right after church and they will have a room where there is an open bar and some food set out for them before the CH. Because we have a ton of OOT guests, we thought this was totally worth it.
This is a good idea does every rental hall do this?

We're getting married at the RH. Ceremony starts at 7.
We're taking pictures before the wedding because FH is obsessed with not missing the cocktail hour. I kinda agree with him. We don't want to miss anything. I've been in so many wedding parties where I felt like all I did was take pictures and never actually enjoyed the wedding!
I still want to capture that moment of surprise when he first sees me so I will have the photo and video guys there for that. Take all the main pics then it's Party Time!!

Re: FRIDAY BRIDES
JT offered a hospitality suite before the CH, so thats a plus. Then I thought for those guests who are staying at the hotel, they can drive back to the hotel after the church, and hang out at the bar there until the shuttle takes them to Jericho Terrace.

Re: FRIDAY BRIDES
Our ceremony at church is 330. Cocktail is at 7pm. Going straight to JT from church to take all pictures so we'll be done in time to enjoy our CH and our guests. And yes that is a great plus to Jt. The hospitality suite for everyone to gather in. Gonna make everyone go straight to JT so they'll all be there for pictures.
