What time is your ceremony and reception??? My rental hall is letting me start whatever time I want.. But Im worried about the chirch, me and FH have a very large amount of family that lives in Brooklyn /Manhattan so I was worried about them sitting in rush hour traffic to get to the ceremony. I am also worried that If I start it too early many people wont show up to the ceremony... What are you guys doing
Im thinking 430p or 5p ceremony and 730p or 8p reception?

Re: FRIDAY BRIDES
My church starts at 4:30 and is over at 5:15/5:30. Cocktail hour starts at 7 and reception starts at 8.
The RH is only 15 minutes away from the church.

Re: FRIDAY BRIDES
My ceremony starts at 4 and I don't know how long it's going to be b/c we're actually having mass. So I'm thinking of having the cocktail hour start at 7 or 730. I just want to have enough time to get to the RH and take pictures b/c i dont want to miss out on the food!!!

Re: FRIDAY BRIDES
I've been stressing over this!!! I'm so overly worried about what people are supposed to do between the church and the reception hall-- even though no one has ever worried about me when i went to their weddings!!! LOL-- i read somewhere on here that a bride set up a suite at a nearby hotel for her guests to go and get a couple of drinks or some snack i think she called it a hospitality suite which i though was a pretty good idea-- at least their is some TV, beverages and snacks. My church is tentatively set for 3pm and CH at 7-- ill keep you guys posted though!

Re: FRIDAY BRIDES
Got married at RH 7:00 I put 6:30 on the invites party started right after
i've been in a couple of bridal parties and it seems like it takes about an hour to take pics. but then the bride and groom take separate pics but it seems like it's another 1/2 hr max. so maybe 1 1/2 hours for pics...2 tops? That's what i'm hoping for....

Re: FRIDAY BRIDES
Our Church is at 3pm(full mass) and we are starting our cocktail hour at either 7 or 730, we plan to do all pictures after the church at the RH so we don't miss any of our cocktail hour.

i know what you mean!! it's like, i dont want to miss the cocktail hour but that's so selfish of me bc what are guests going to do - esp the out of towners? there's always the mall! i do that when i have a long break in between the ceremony and cocktail hour

I totally agree.. I feel like its so selfish of me to have a longggggg break between ceremony and ch but you really dont have much of a choice sometimes.. I think the hosiptality suit is a great idea. I will have to look into that

Re: FRIDAY BRIDES
I will have my church ceremony as early as possible, im assuming people will not come ready for the reception if at all. Im sure only close family and friends will be there and i am ok with this. i say 4ish.. . i need and want about 2hrs to take photos. CH 6:30 or 7, i added an extra hour to the wedding so i dont want to start it later then 7.

Re: FRIDAY BRIDES
I thought I was the only one stressing over this. My RH has a set time for the CH of 7pm and the reception to start at 8pm. So, I think the ceremony will be around 4 or 4:30pm since the ceremony will be in Bay Shore and the reception in Roslyn Harbor.

Re: FRIDAY BRIDES
Our ceremony is at 4pm, and reception starts at 7pm. We paid an extra $2pp at Crest Hollow to get 'hospitality services.' Basically, people can come to the RH right after church and they will have a room where there is an open bar and some food set out for them before the CH. Because we have a ton of OOT guests, we thought this was totally worth it.

Re: FRIDAY BRIDES
The Church (Mass) is at 4pm and the reception starts at 7pm. I think it plenty of time to take lots of pics at the RH and relax for a hot second! Hopefully it works out according to plan!
