Okay, so here is my dilemma..........since we are not yet officially booked for our wedding date, we have to days on hold - a Saturday and a Sunday....originally we thought of having a Sunday evening wedding, but now that I have put much more thought to it, I do not want peope to travel 1 1/2 hrs. for our weding reception and that have to leave early because they will most likely have work the next day, so I really want Saturday and he of course says it's too expensive and I am thinking too much (typical response huh)!! so know he is thinking about having a Friday Wedding...... So now I'm back to analyzing the situation.....What do you ladies think and why??? Thanks in advance for your help!!

My wedding is on a friday, and I have been to many weddings, some on fridays some on sundays, I dont care what day it is, Ill take the next day off, Im glad to do it....I love a good wedding, it gives me a great excuse to drink and duck out of any responsibilities I may have for the next day!!!!
If people love you, they will be there no matter when yoru wedding day is, especially if you give them plenty of notice!!

I was married on a Friday night. So many people do that now. I love attending Friday night weddings because it's an excuse to take the day off.

I'm getting married on a Sunday night (it ends at 11:00) and at first I was worried about it. I prefer Sunday to Friday for a couple of reasons. For a Friday, people have to take off work (or leave early) to get there in time. In many cases people will might miss the ceremony as well. For Sunday, people can take off work on Monday but it is not required. Most of my family and close friends are taking off Monday and if some people leave a little early it won't really bother me because the people I care about most will be there. (Although I've heard if the wedding is fun - people won't leave early anyway). But whatever works for you is what's important. It's your day and everyone you really want to be there will be.

Did you ever consider moving your wedding back 2 weeks? I am having a Sunday wedding on Labor day weekend. I figured most guests will have off that Monday.. Just another option....
