My mother and I have different views on this. I say Friday night so I know that I can sleep the following day and she says Sunday so that you don't have to go to a wedding right after work in traffic.

Definitely Friday. I'd prefer to be able to sleep in the next day. I would be exhausted to have to go to work in the morning after a Sunday night wedding. People that want to be at the ceremony will be no matter what, so I wouldn't worry that much about that.
I feel it's an excuse to leave work a little early that day and have a great kickoff to the weekend!

I would much rather have a Friday night wedding because on Sundays I think people might be leaving early and if you want a Viennese hour, people might not stay bc its too late and youll waste money on people not being able to enjoy it. Also people with kids want to be home early bc their kids have school the next day.

I am having a friday night wedding. I feel like its just more of a party night. All the OOT are coming up Wed. We all did it for everyones wedding. People make a 3 day weekend out of it. I already know about 25 + people who are taking off the day of. Either way it will be perfect. People can take off Sunday if they are worried!

I chose Sunday night when I figured out my wedding because I have a bunch of people coming in from out of town and my wedding is out east in the middle of summer. TRAFFIC!!!! And when I went to a wedding on a Friday night before I still ended up taking the whole day off in order to get there, etc. But either works out, its your wedding, make yourself happy.
