Friday the 13th

Hi All, My Fiance and I are thinking about getting married on Friday the 13th in December 2002. We are both Italian and the number 13 is very lucky for Italians. However, whenever we tell someone what we are thinking they say - 'good luck' - it makes me mad. Opinions, suggestions?

Different numbers have different meanings in different cultures. I don't think the people are superstitious, as much as they are just kidding around. If you want to reverse it on them, just say we don't buy into superstitions or that it is a lucky number in Italy. FYI: 8 is bad luck in China

I felt that way too for a while, then I just said to people 'get over it'. I am Jewish, and 13 is lucky for us too! But that's not why we're doing it then - it just worked out that way...I also tell people who make it seem unlucky that if they want to pay the difference in price for sat. the 14, please be my guest! :) It's a great day - don't even stress about it....GOOD LUCK!!!!!!
