Friday vs Saturday

How big is the price difference between a Friday evening reception and a saturday evening reception? What are the main reasons for the difference?

Ours was a $30 difference, and the minimum was much higher for a Saturday. It is real nice to have a Saturday night wedding, but not enough to put yourself in debt. We choose a Friday night wedding. They are getting more popular, hope they dont start raising the prices for a Friday night!!

theres the price difference because its not as convenient, because people work on fridays. usually its also a little later. I actually went looking at halls insisting on a sat night and ended up booking a sunday afternoon - go figure!!!

My hall was only a $10 difference, but in the overall scheme of things, that adds up. We figured if we go with a Fri night, we could use the 'saved' money on the DJ or flowers. And anyway, with a Friday, the people you REALLY want at the ceremony will be there - no matter what.
