Re: Friday vs. Saturday Weddings

Here is a little tip which saved us a lot of money! We have a lot of out of town guests but Saturday nights were really out of our price range. What we ended up doing is booking for Sunday July 3rd. While the price was a little higher than a normal Sunday night (about $5 pp extra) it was way cheaper then Saturday night and the minimum was still low. The best part is, July 4th is Monday and majority of people have that off! Therefore our Sunday night wedding will be more like a Saturday night. I would definitley look into these holiday weekends like the Sunday before Memorial day or Labor day. I know a couple of the places we looked at charged the same as a Saturday night for these days but most didn't

We got a much better price for a Friday night than a Saturday night. I wanted a night wedding, and Friday was what we could afford (didn't want Sunday). In the end I'm GLAD we couldn't afford the Saturday night! I learned that there is only ONE wedding booked at my venue for a Friday. However for Saturday they do a day wedding and a night wedding, which means the night wedding people can't come in until a certain time. We were able to hang out and get ready at our RH from 1:00 pm on! They were AMAZING with food, drinks, service. I didn't arrive until about 3:30, but a few of my girls were there starting on makeup and they were well attended to. I would always choose a Friday night now!!!
