we can get to the hall 2 hours prior to the CH for pictures on premesis. however since we are getting married in church (instead of botanical gardens, like FH wants) i would like to suprise FH by going to the gardens to have pictures taken. i do not want to miss CH taking pictures.
my CH is from 7-8 the reception is from 8-12

maybe have the ceremony at 2 so after wards you have lke 2 hours for pics and travel...unless the botanical gardens is far

How far are the gardens from the church? I would say 3 or 4 for the church, because you still want plenty of daylight for the garden pictures.

You should aim for 3( if your ceremony is an hour). Only b/c if c/h starts at 7, you don't want your guest sitting around for longer than 2 hours. Figure at 6, people will begin to travel to the RH for the CH b/c noone likes to miss CH

silly me forgot to put in the distances between,
church to gardens is 6 miles (in April photo session at the gardens ends at 4:30 & is 45 minutes long)
gardens to RH is 3 miles

I'm having mine at 3 and cocktail is at 7. But we are taking pics at the hall.
Also, is your church going to be a ceremony or a full mass? Take into account traffic on a friday and think about how long your receiving line is going to be cuz if its long it could take awhile

i am doing a 3pm ceremony at the church because i'll be getting married in queens so by the time its over like around 4 and then some pix i will have to be at the rh at a certain time

i would say 3pm would give you enough time to take the pictures before CH

we have the same timing and our church is at 5 or 530 i dont remember. we're just having a ceremony, not a mass.. so it will only be about 25 minutes long. i think its plenty of time to take pics inbetween and out RH is about 20 minutes from out church. my sister had the same timing and it worked out fine.. and she went to her CH.
