Friend broke up with gf, and her name is on the invite....

Friend broke up with gf, and her name is on the invite....

So one of FH's good friends broke up with his gf.

Problem is, the invites are going out in two days and I JUST got them back from the calligrapher with her name on it....

What should I do??

FH says 'He's a guy and doesn't give a crapola about that stuff'...but I feel like it's poor form...? Or maybe I'm being ridiculous?

should I include a note inside? Just send them as is?

What would you do?

I'm not going to send it back to the calligrapher... I'm too lazy. But I think I may just handwrite it...?

I would just send it as is and act like they had already been sent. Guys dont care about that.

I would either do this or handwrite it yourself....guys also don't notice things like calligraphy I think!

fh is right.. guys really dont give a flying beeeep about that stuff... but if your uncomfortable about it call and appoligize and tell him it was done prior and that hes more then welcome to bring a guest if he wants...

or handwrite a new one.. guys wont notice calligraphy anyway.

Don't worry about it. You didn't know that would happen. And as far as form......YOU were in good form for including the g/f's name on the invite to begin with. Tell him he can still bring a guest and when he give you their name, do another 'good form' thing and put her name on the place card. Whoever he brings doesnt have to see the original invite with the ex's name on it anyways.

I would just handwrite it out. We added some people on later and we just hand wrote those envelopes instead of sending them back to the calligrapher and waiting. No one seemed to care.

IF there is a good chance they aren't getting back together, just hand write a new envelope with 'and guest' == he is a guy and will not even notice that it was handwritten.
