I feel like people want to tell me EVERY freakin detail of their lives at work because I have basically declared myself Switzerland. So this girl that I am friendly with at work, SOME HOW she found out how much money everyone makes, and she keeps calling and calling to ***** about it. She found out that she makes like 12K less than some of the other teachers, including myself, and she just BIATCHES to me over and over. And I have tried telling her it's because she is not a certified teacher, and she is not even a head teacher, but an associate, and she will not leave me alone! She's one of those people that no matter what you say, it doesn't matter, she never likes what you have to say. So I finally told her that if she's that unhappy, go look for a new job. And now, because she lives like an hour from work, and I live up the road, she's like, well maybe if I stay with you a few times a week, I can save some money on gas. I was like WHAT?!?! NO! Errr, I can't stand some people!

Re: Friend/Co-worker Vent
Just tell her 'NO.' Tell her that is not a good idea because you may have to leave early or go somewhere right from work.
Oh, I cut it straight with her as soon as she mentioned it and told her no way jose! I was just in shock that someone would even say that to me. This woman has invited herself to my apartment WAY too many times, and she is nice as an aquaintance, but that's it. FH hates her! He is freaked out by her because she comes into our home and acts like she lives with us. That freaks me out too. I usually don't answer the phone anymore around the time that she calls me. Man, some people are weirdos.

There's only one way to handle people who are blunt like that. Put them in their place and be very blunt back!

She sounds crazy! Keep your distance! I agree, be blunt with her - people like that don't get the point unless a ton of bricks falls on their head.

Use a 'bucket' if you have to & 'stick' to being blunt.
