Friends

Do any of your FI's have a good girl friend whom you know nothing has ever gone on but they have been friend forever-

if so how do you deal with it? How does he? I am taking a survey-

Re: Friends

Well, my husband is very good friends with this girl from college. He always considered her to be more of a sister. I was not at any time intimidated because he made sure he introduced me to her and she and I always respected each other. Sometimes when we have gatherings he invites her and she and I get along well. The whole point is my husband did not hide his friend from me so that makes it comfortable for us.

Re: Friends

I'm ok with it because I know nothing would ever happen. One of my best friends is my ex-boyfriend from high school, and at first FI was a little taken back, but we both know nothing would come of it. I think friends of the opposite sex are great!

He's marrying me, not them. That's what matters. I trust him a billion percent!

Are you okay? This the second post of issues w/FI that you've posted in the past two days...do you need to talk? Do you have doubts? Sounds like there's some trust issues - we're here for ya!

Re: Friends

I think I lost one of my favorite college guy friends bc of his wife. Ironically, I also went to college with her her and was friendly with her, but they didn't start dating until a few years out of school.

He had a thing for me in college -- though nothing ever happened between us or came of it. We have only always ever been good friends! We've never had a falling out and remain on good terms... but, since they've been together she always has to be the one to email me about making plans and he won't really email me independently.

It's nuts... and every time I see him (like last saturday), I leave bummed out that I dont' have his close friendship anymore.

Re: Friends

you guys are great-

No issues at all with FI-

I told you guys about my close friend who I am no longer friends with-due to his new gal basically hating our friendship even though we have been friends more than half our lives and never ever has anything other then a very tight friendship ( we were boys )

so we have alot of mutual friends and he is basically going around and telling them all ( becasuse he is 30 going on 10) that 'you know how it is when you have a girl friend and then you meet the one you want to be with forever-that friend has to undertsand that they are not important anymore) -so funny becasue he makes it like I am not in a realtionship of my own-but okay-and I was just wondering how other ladies react-

I am pretty laid back and trust my FI and know he would not do anything and his friends are his friends no matter what sex they are-

I guess I wanted to know if anyone has been in a situation like this and how everyone would deal -

I have a similar situation!

I have (or should I say had) a guy friend and all we ever were, was friends, since 9th grade!

All of a sudden about 2 years ago he gets a girlfriend a girl that he first met at my sweet 16 (yes that long ago) I used to go to college with her and she always knew I was friends with him. Then they met again one day started dating and he can't be my friend anymore, he can't call me, he can't hangout with me. It's kind of upsetting but hey what can I do about it. I think it's kind of selfish for a girl to be this way, I was friends with her but better friends with him. I couldn't believe that she didn't want us to be friends, she knew I was always friends and only friends with him. So now if I see her (we have mutual friends) I am not all excited like I used to be and she gets mad about it and gets mad at him. Whatever
