From start to finish, how much do you think the wedding will cost?

Every time I sit down and go over our spreadsheet, I want to throw up. . I know it will be worth it in the end.

I don't have a spreadsheet, but I originally thought I could do it all for $20,000.

our budget is $30,000 but we'll see...and we're only inviting 65 people But I guess its because it has to be kosher which costs such rediculous amounts of money. Doesnt thnking about how much you're going to spend make you want to throw up and hit somethng at the same time

we originally thought we could keep the budget around 30k or so....but since we booked a hall that will cost us that by itself....we will be lucky to keep the wedding around 50-55k ....

sometimes it makes me want to cry/vomit....other times im like f it...i only get one wedding and we can always get more money

our budget came to about $35K but I think it might cost $40K

I really don't want to go over $25,000. Our minimum at the SC is 75 people and we are hoping to stay around there. So far, with flowers, dj, photos, rh, and invites we are at 17,000. We still need to pay for my dress & accessories, hair and make up, favors, his tux, officiant and cake. And I'm sure a few little odds and ends I'm forgetting.

ETA: I didn't include honeymoon as a wedding expense.

So far with just the hall, church, flowers and photo we are up to about 25k. When all is said and done i am thinking it will be about 40k in total

OMG!!!! why you must bring this question up! i try to stay away from the numbers but on the real! my wedding will be costing 40k! maybe a little more but not too much more

I read all these wedding magazines taht state the average wedding is 20.
I went to some website to and u put in ur area code and it gives u the avg price for a wedding and its still 20 something

HA.... not on Long Island unfortunately

its sad bc our weddings are going to cost as much as a down payment on a house....

...but at the same time i dooo want the whole big wedding...saving for a house will have to begin immediately after the wedding!

Thankfully we have the house money saved otherwise this wedding wouldn't be happenig lol

yeaa... FH thought it wouldn't be more then 30. But we are inviting 216 people (14 are kids) and guaranteed 150!
I'm gonna TRY to keep it under 35

Are we including HM and what not because with that we are looking at $45-$50K…pardon me while I go throw up ad then throw myself out my work window…its 3 floors up…should do the trick

ya its starting to get crazy and all i have booked is the hall, church, photo and DJ...

originally i think the budget was around 30-35, but i can already see it getting to around 45-50 and another thank you for pointing out honeymoon!!!!!!! didnt even think to include that in total 'budget'

its jus crazy cuz we had to guarantee 150 for the RH, it will prob be more like 165 or so, and of course, we want upgrades at CH and stuff, so thats the huge chunk of the budget right there

AHHHHHHH lol
