hiyas all, im from the uk and we would like to get married in New York.
Please could someone direct or give us information about costs etc and if we should use a wedding planner/ travel agent.
we are wanting to marry in either august or october 2013.

Hi!!!!!!!! First I would set a budget so you know around how much you would to spend ....i would do that first but its really up to you about the wedding planner i mean if your not going to be in new york ...i would prob get one just b/c you are far away and they can help out a lot ..you can look on this website for planners it should give you a good idea and give them a call!!!!!! If the money converter I used is correct, that's about $7800? How big of a wedding were you planning?

hiyas,, very small, me, other half, my daughter and her boyfriend.
we live in UK so budget is for flights and hotel for me n other half and a few says in NY...
not sure if its enough?

I'm not sure how much the flights are. But you can find relatively cheap hotels, so that's not an issue. Do you want to get married by the Justice of the Peace and then have a small reception dinner? It would probably be doable then!

There are a lot of groupon/living social/travel zoo/snique away deals on really nice hotels and flights so definitely sign up for those websites. If it's just the few of you I don't know if you need to budget out for a wedding planner. Have you ever been to NY? You want Manhattan? JOP is a great route to take then doing a really nice dinner and hotel suite or something.
