Fruitcake recipe anyone?

I make them each year and they taste great but I can't serve it to company. Maybe it's time to find another recipe.
We like it dense and moist with the candied fruits, raisins, and nuts. I soak the fruits in brandy first and then wrap the finished cakes in cheesecloth for a few weeks, basting with more brandy. Yet when I slice it, it falls apart.

I would love any suggestions you may have.
