Frustrated

soooo I can't have my rehearsal on friday october 17 because the church is all booked...so i have to have it thursday october 16 at 7:30. I work until 6 on the 16th...AND we were going to pick up my mom from the airport at 6:45. soooooo now I'm supposed to expect FH to be back from laguardia with my mom fresh off a plane by 7:30??? this is all my fault...i was so hung up on waiting it out to see what we could afford as for the rehearsal dinner...that i didn't bother to book the actual rehearsal til now.

AND after speaking to my dad ...I don't think he can afford to buy my brother a ticket to my wedding...and neither can I. I have WAAAAAY too many things i'm already stressing over financially with this wedding to be worrying about paying for peoples plane tickets...my dad hasn't even bought HIS OWN ticket yet. I was going to ask my brother to be a reader at the church but after hearing my dads tone of voice i can tell i'll be lucky if even my dad makes it to the wedding.

maybe mom can re-schedule and book an earlier flight?

And you're not alone -- my brother isn't coming either (money problems and problems with his wife). My mom was like we'll find another fg (niece was it) but that's not the point. I'm so pissed at him.

You can get a wedding travel discount from American Airlines ...they say you have to have at least 10 people, but when I asked about that, the woman said they won't revoke a discount that's already been applied if there are fewer than 10 people who use the discount.

the discount is usually 10% the lowest published airfare at the time you make the reservation, and it's good for any of the airports in the NYC area (LGA, JFK, Newark). And the discount is for flights into and out of your wedding city for 1 week before and 1 week after your wedding date...maybe that'll ease a bit of the pain of the airfare price?
