Frustrated and Disappointed.....
...at my sister's (MOH) behavior. I chose to have her as my MOH out of respect even though we are not close at all. It is only my sister and I, our father died 15 yrs ago, and our mother passed 3 yrs ago. My sister usually loves shower, wedding, party planning so I thought my wedding might bring us closer, boy was I wrong.
I have heard rumblings about my sister being difficult, which I expected but recently found out that things are even worse.
My BM told me that she has asked that all BM's split the shower equally, when the others advised they thought she should contribute more a little more she disagreed. Now I find out that she has even asked my FMIL to contribute the same amount as the other girls!
Am I crazy or is this wrong!!!! My FMIL asked to be included for the shower plans, I assume she wanted to contribute something, but I feel it is very wrong for my sister to demand that she contribute a full share! My sister and I received some inheritance from my mother's passing and I feel as though she should contribute some more, in place of our mother and because she is the MOH.
I also found out that she is refusing any bachelorette party ideas that are not AC, because she believes we can all get comped (our mother was a frequented AC)
She has been difficult since the beginning. I am allowing the girls to pick out their own dresses and keeping hair & makeup optional so it is less of a financial burden. My sister made her dress choice a nightmare and although all of the other BM's have told me about their hair/makeup decisions, my MOH is refusing to answer the question.
I am hurt and disappointed that she hasn't stepped up as a sister or an MOH. What I thought was an opportunity to bring us closer has made me regret that she is even involved. It makes it especially hard since our mother is not here and would be devistated to see her behavior.
