People will always have something to say... We will be engaged 2 years and 5 months when we get married and I dont care what people think. People dont understand the concept of preparing everything etc. I think a year is a good amount of time. Everyone does whats right for them. Dont let them bother you
ugh! people will ALWAYS have an opinion! we will be engaged over 2.5 years, and people haven't stopped with the comments!!! even some vendors! um do you want my money or not? jeesh!!! just enjoy your planning! Xo
let people say what they want. i got engaged June 2008. And we didn't even set a date or book an RH until now. I put down a deposit just last month for November 2010. People will always have something to say.

I thought one year was an average length engagement. My FH and I got engaged on March 25, 2009 and are getting married next March 27, 2010... That's a whole year!! Why is it that everyone has the same reaction 'Wow... that was fast!!' or 'Oh, really??....why so rushed?' It's a year!!! Is that really so rushed? I'm tired of that reaction. It's so annoying... Our E-party is next month (2 1/2 months from the time we got enagaged) and while I was planning that, people were having the same reaction. 'Wow already?? Why so soon?....Is this a race?' I'm ready to scream!!! IS IT JUST ME? GRRRR!
Some people just cant mind their own business. I got engaged 8/2008 and getting married 9/2010. Everyone was saying why are you waiting so long? I even had one person say 'you know you guys arent young anymore, I would think that you would want to get married faster' HUHHHHHHHH?????? ***??????
