So our rsvp date is less than a week away and I am missing 75 response cards (110 people in total). I just don't understand why people can't just mail these things in. I mean I sent them out 5 weeks ago!
Once we get to our minimum I just intend to count whoever is left as a no - we are doing everything for this wedding solo and I do not have time to hunt people down. We guaranteed 200 so I just hope we get 48 more people to respond yes this week!

this is so rude. I mean, could I have made it any easier for you??? just put the freakin thing in the mail!! I know this is going to happen to me too, and I am totally prepared to b*tch at ppl about it. I totally get not wanting to chase ppl down, but i want to make it known to them that i think its rude they havent had the courtesy to send it back in time (in a slightly less obvious tone).

I actually had an ex-coworker send me a text the same DAY that rsvp's were due to find out if i was coming...I had previously told her mine would be several days late bc i may have had to go to my grandparents to take care of paperwork and doctors with them and needed to find out when i went up there to visit them a week ago. Well she texted me a nasty snotty message about it, i told her i was going to put it in the mail that day but it wasnt enough for her, she ruined our friendship bc of it. So i took the yes rsvp card out of the mailbox, took her gift out of the envelope and replied no...
Just be careful how you handle the phone calls...

I think people feel they're more important to you than they really are. So they feel they should be treated like gold when it comes to weddings and such, when in reality, they are just guests.
At my brother's wedding, one relative was unhappy with his seat placement so stormed out right before my parents and the bride/groom were bring announced.

Totally understand~ We had a few handful of people wouldn't RSVP even until the day of the wedding. And we had a few no shows on the day of who rsvp'd Yes! They also didn't even bothering sending a card!

I am still three weeks from my deadline, but sent my invitations out about 3 wks ago. I am still waiting on about 35. One of them being the best man!! Two separate people booked hotel rooms but havent even rsvped. People who I am pretty good friends with as well have yet to RSVP. It makes me feel as if these people are weighting their options and it's so hurtful. Maybe I am too sensitive or hormonal right now, but this is the most important and personal thing to you and it hurts when people you thought we'd be there to celebrate this occasion can't even send the response card.
I know they're not going to care as much about the wedding as you do, but some caring is always nice.

I feel you! That was on of the most frustrating things about the wedding!!!!! I couldn't understand why they just couldn't put a yes or no on the rsvp and put it in the mail...it already had a stamp!!!

OMG I KNOW!!!! I keep telling people that the WORST part about the entire wedding process has been the guestlist, without a doubt. People keep telling us 'we can't wait for your wedding!' Then I look at FH and say 'they better send back that RSVP card!' I just don't get people - I get an invite and I toss it right back in the mail so I don't forget about it!
And with regards to the other post about people giving a hard time about who is invited and storming out of the party... What is the matter with these people?!? This is your day and screw whatever they have to say - don't let anyone poo poo on our fun!

Ugh, today is my 'please RSVP by' date and I'm missing quite a few. I built in a few days for this, but it's still inconsiderate. I spent the time, money and energy on you people at least call and leave me a voicemail!
I'll start the calling in a few days, otherwise there will not be a seat or plate for them. It's too expensive to second guess someone who doesn't understand what it's like to pull one of these off.

I just hope everyone gets them! My boss didnt get his so Im starting to get worried about who else hasnt gotten theres! Some people can be so annoying! Like can I just give it to you? Ummm NO! I put a stamp on it and everything, just put it in the mailbox!
