I am looking for a band that'll cost around $5000. Is it possible?
What should I look for in a band? All this planning and attending showcases really drain me out. I feel like just settling for a DJ
Need your help

Oh I forgot to add, see what the reception hall will do for you regarding meals. If they are a recommended band you may get a break.

BTW, I got a estimated cost of an average band: $5200 for 8piece band. $200 for ceremony music $200 for cocktail music
then I have to pay for their meals???
Does this sound reasonable???
the above sounds about right...
yes, you must feed them...but check with your reception hall and see if they give a discounted rate for vendors, normally it is around 50% off.
also, are the people who are playing at the reception playing at the ceremony? if so, make sure that they can play the type of ceremony music you want. my band stated they can get by with the basics but suggested we go with a classically trained musician at the church if that is the sound we are shooting for...

Re: Frustrated with choosing MUSIC
btw, how much do we usually tip band members?
Most importantly, what should be listed in the contract? What should I be aware of? (if there is any)
thank you!

1017: I'd tell you my fi is the cute one, but that would be biased. He's the sax player. Anyone who sees Code Bleu, say 'hi' from me and freak him out. ;)
