Her dad invited 2 of her friends ( there is nothing I can say), but these girls usually go t each others events and they don't bring gifts. I have no idea why? Anyway how can someone possibly come empty handed to a wedding, mind you these girls are all wealthy and they went to ritzy girls boarding school. I guess there is nothing I can say, but I just don;t get it. I could never do that.

That is very rude! Maybe FSIL could say something to them, since they are her friends?

Were they sent invitations? Does you FSIL give gifts when she attends a wedding? Maybe she can tell her friends that it's really rude not to.

Yea, there's something wrong with that. I think you should tell her that they are NOT coming to your wedding.

Why can't you say anything?? Is FFIL paying for them to attend?

If FFIL is paying for them I don't see what the big deal is at all. It's not $ out of your pocket. If you are paying, maybe FH can ask FILs to pay for them.

You've posted about them coming before, and how upset you are, but I think it might be something you have to let go. You can't uninvite them, and if I remember correctly last time you said you FFIL was paying for them. It is your day, but if you let something like this get to you that is sad. My ILs invited people I never met to my wedding--just consider it friends of the in-laws.

Um, I think you should uninvite them. Or, let your FSIL know how upset you are about it.

I wouldn't be too upset over the gifts, because you shouldn't be convinced they wont bring anything. You never can predict what people will do.

I would be more upset about your FSIL inviting people to YOUR wedding than about the gift thing.

you just don't invite people to someone elses wedding, PERIOD.
