FSIL (MOH) invited to of her friends to my wedding, I was just informed that they are not bringing gifts.

It is okay for your inlaws to invite guests that you may not have met...I know mine are and that is okay, since I am not expected to know every single person they do...BUT...to be told that you shouldnt expect a gift from them is retarded!!!!!! (thats the only word I could use to descibe this situation).

I guess I am still in hsock over the fact that people show up at weddings giftless....

Unfortunatly, you may have to suck it up and not waste your time getting upset over it...Dont let it ruin your happiness and planning.....

yea, mention to fsil she should pay for seats of people SHE invited. my own father even did that. my parents ar helping the best they can, but my dad said he could only pay for the dj. but then when he wanted to invite some 'extras' he offered to pay for their plates.

and not bringing gifts??? whats wrong w/ people!? i dont know if there's a 'good' way to ask about it ... i would make fsil pay for them and just sit back about the gifts

I am not going to say anything bc my FIL are paying for basically half of the wedding so they are entitled to a certain extent to invite whomever they like but not bringing a gift is just GROSS!!

I could never do that, I mean at this point does it even matter what they bring? It just about bringing something. Apparently my FSIL attends their families events and does not bring gift but she also flies to Texas for their events. I just though you guys would enjoy this, people are just insane.. LOL!!
