Any of you gals out there who are 'fuller figured' feeling like you aren't going to be that beautiful bride? I had a nightmare last night that no matter what I did, I did not have that princess for a day feeling. I am trying to diet- but it is so hard during the holidays, I guess I am just feeling down this morning- just wondering if anyone else ever feels this way or if I am just hormonal!

Re: Full Figured brides
I am not even that full figured, and yet I look at the pics of the gowns on SKINNNNNY girls and i think.... OOO I WISH!!!!! lol......I could stand to lose about 15 llbs... to make me look 'GOOD' in a dress.. but I have a bigger frame than most people my size (5 foot 2--on a GREAT DAY) broad shoulders....just a thicker bone structure.. and i feel like ooo.. im never gonna look like these other thin brides
But then I think to myself.. DONT PUT TAT IN YOUR HEAD, every bride looks gorgeous!!!
And honsetly lyss 0908.....you are a BEAUTIFUL GIRL.. just looked at your album for a sec... you are going to look stunning!!! try not to worry! (although I worry too so feel free to FM me and we can worry together liol)

Re: Full Figured brides
go to the gym and have a skinny bride picture on your fridge as your motivation. It can be hard to be motivated, but just think about how you want to look on your wedding day and honeymoon.

I used to be 240lbs and trust me I know allllll about feeling like I am not pretty..
Ive lost over 100 lbs and in my head I will never be skinny.. that is because I do NOT want to be skinny.....
Certain girls look amazing thin as a rail and others just look like they are heroin addicts..
Embrace yourself and what you look like.......

Re: Full Figured brides
I need to lose about 40 pounds.
I carry a lot of it in my waist. Yesterday someone congratulated me on my 'pregnancy' and how cute I looked
Today my supervisor told me that someone (else) asked if I was pregnant.
I cry when I think about looking 'pregnant' on my wedding day. I don't know how I'll ever lose it -- I have diabetes ANDa thyroid problem.

i have the same issue. definitely try working out!!!
i gave up on that really...i had to be put on medication in order to lose any weight - even though i was going to the gym every single day for 3 hours a day....it was loads of fun.

Re: Full Figured brides
I was working out 5 days a week and then I herniated a disk and have not gone back since, that was a year ago. I decided to take some of my bonus money and put it towards a gym membership. I hopefully that will help. I am also thinking of joining WW again for the millionth time. maybe this time is it! For some reason I plateau very quickly. oh well. I don't want to be rail thin- just flatter lol

I prefer to call myself curvy!! Big is beautiful. Don't get me wrong. I am wearing spanx to hide some of my back fat but FH loves me this way and I am happy with me. I don't think I have ever seen an ugly bride. Cheer up!!!! I Am sure you will look amazing!!!

Re: Full Figured brides
Yea I gotta be honest.. im looking at some pics of you beautiful ladies.. you are all gorgeous... not that heavy.. and are going to look FABULOUS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I am planning on losing 10-15lbs... and that's about it..... but i have a year to do it.......
but either way.... EVERYONE WILL BE A GORGEOUS BRIDE.....
p.s. my new thing is TAEBO--Billy Blanks..... i can definitely feel it after i do it......
p.p.s. it's definitely hard if you can't exercise.. i have a bone disase and can't exercise as much as I would like to at certain points in my life... and i still lost weight without exercising alot.. i started out by cutting fat intake..... and cutting cals. a bit at a time! it really worked!

I know what it feels like tho, at my biggest i was almost 300lbs... im down to 208 right now and still have more to go. i hate how i look but the FH is always telling me how much he loves my body and things im beautiful. Im sure your FH feels the same way.
Being Skinny doesnt make you beautiful.

Re: Full Figured brides
I know exactly how you feel! It is so hard when you are overweight. I am considered obese for my BMI actually, I don't feel obese but I def know I am overweight. I was going to curves for a while and doing really well and then I got busy or something happened and I just stopped going. I get so mad at myself because I felt good about myself and was seeing some results. I have lost 15 pounds since last jan and have kept that off but I think I had lost more than that and have gained some of it back sadly. I think I will try that tae bo, I have a gazelle, and my FH was just saying he wanted to get an excercise bike. It's hard but as long as you are getting your heart rate up you are doing excercise! I just wanted to let you know that you are NOT alone in feeling this way!!!

Re: Full Figured brides
My FSIL was a full figured bride and she was beautiful. And I'm sure all of you ladies will be too so don't worry. Sometimes I get so jealous of the curves, wish I had some.
I worry a bit about not being 'pretty enough' on my wedding day because of my weight...but I cant drive myself crazy about it, after xmas I am going to try to loose 10 pounds, and if not I will not die over it... I am just hoping that on my wedding day I feel so pretty that being a little overweight will not kill my day!

not to toot my own horn---but i am a big girl and i know i looked DAMN GOOD THAT DAY!!!!!!
don't worry -- you will look great as a bride that day, and the only opinion that matters is that of your future husband---and that day he WILL think you are the most beautiful woman on this earth.

Re: Full Figured brides
The day of your wedding you WILL feel like the most beautiful person in the world.
I was married 22 days ago (love the LIW counter) and I'm a size 18. Like a lot of big girls, we would never wear white! I was so stressed out that I would look horrible the day of my wedding; I couldn't have been more wrong, I felt amazing and was so happy with the way I looked.
And more importantly, you FH loves you for the person you are, that includes your weight.
I am very fortunate, my husband gets mad at me all the time when I complain about my weight, he tells me if I was 300 he wouldn't care, there would just be more of me to love
