Any of you gals out there who are 'fuller figured' feeling like you aren't going to be that beautiful bride? I had a nightmare last night that no matter what I did, I did not have that princess for a day feeling. I am trying to diet- but it is so hard during the holidays, I guess I am just feeling down this morning- just wondering if anyone else ever feels this way or if I am just hormonal!

not to toot my own horn---but i am a big girl and i know i looked DAMN GOOD THAT DAY!!!!!!
don't worry -- you will look great as a bride that day, and the only opinion that matters is that of your future husband---and that day he WILL think you are the most beautiful woman on this earth.
You got married on my birthday!!!

Oh my goodness. Yes, I have to lose about 25 pounds for my wedding so my arms do not look as wide as a table. But If it doesnt happen why shouldn't you or I feel good, does our family not love us unconditionally. Bottom line is its your day, this is who we are right now. Please do not let this upset nor worry you. I am going on weight watchers in January. I will do my best, but I will not feel bad about myself on a day we are spending so much money to enjoy. This is me, who likes it does and who doesn't can look away. You will look beautiful from the glow inside knowing its your day. Take care

Oh my goodness, Alyssa- you are beautiful!! I just looked at your pictures!!!!!
No matter what your size, bride's are always beautiful. You will find the right gown that makes you feel and look ever more beautiful. I think we all are just so critical of ourselves. I am the same way- I look at pictures from my fitting and all I see are the bad parts.

I am a plus-size and I found the dress of my dreams at the Alfred Angelo website. They had the dress at Lynbrook Bridal in a size that was a little big for me, but they pinned it so I could see what it would look like. It was the first (and last) dress that I tried on.
When my DH and I were in the limo, going to the reception..he said to me 'when I saw you in Church, you blew me away'. That's all that matters.

I am me, big or small. I don't care what anyone else thinks about me, how I feel about me is most important.
I loved my dress and felt very comfortable in it. Fit me perfectly. I felt beautiful that day and it shows in my pictures. It also shows on my husband's face when he saw me for the first time. That is a priceless feeling.
You will be beautiful on your wedding day. You will feel that way too.

I was represented on a LiWeddingsTv 'episodes' about being a plus size bride.
I was a 'full figured' bride and trust me I know how you feel. If you read my review you'll read all about how I put everything having to do with me to last minute because I was so stressed about it and felt like nothing would make me feel beautiful. I worried about everything else and put myself last because I knew there was nothing out there that would make me feel good. In the end, I have to say, I never felt more beautiful in my life on the day of my wedding. It was magical and I'll never forget it....it was like something came over me and for the first time in my life I didn't give two sh*ts that I wasn't a size 2. There are a few pics here and there that i look at now and say geez, I wish I didn't have that bulge, but overall, it went away for that one day. Trust me - it will happen for you too!

Re: Full Figured brides
Well, after the Holidays, I'm starting a hard core diet........I'm not going to even think about trying on a dress until a year from that point. I guess if I lose, I lose; if not then I'm have no choice but to deal with it. It's not something that will ruin the enitre day for me......its just the difference between sleeves and no sleeves, lol.

Re: Full Figured brides
Can I just tell you, you have NOTHING to worry about! I was (and still am) a full figured bride. I was so worried I would look like a whale in my big white dress. I actually felt skinnier than ever in it! I did lose 30 pounds before the wedding, which helped me feel so good, but the 30 pounds didn't do much to my body believe it or not. I truly felt beautiful and didn't feel liek everyone was thinking OMG look how big she is. It was the complete opposite. My dress had a large part in it because it was extremely flattering to my figure.
