Full House - long
I went to see Full House tonight, and liked them a lot, but I was wondering if anyone else has used/seen them and what people thought. Also, my FH's parents and alot of family are from Ireland, and it is important to us that the band be able to play some Irish music, but not the stereotypical Danny Boy or When Irish Eyes are Smiling. Does anyone know if they can do this? I know they say they will learn songs, but I'd like to know if anyone else has made similar requests of them? Thanks in advance to everyone for your help.

We are also using Full House. We saw them and have also seen them in bars. They are a wonderful band. They can give you a complete list of songs they know - which I believe includes a whole section of Irish music. If not, you can also tell them which Irish songs you would like to hear and they will learn a few. Good luck!

They'll be playing my wedding next month
I'm in a similar situation - my parents are from Ireland and we have a lot of relatives coming over for the wedding. After listening to a lot of different bands, we decided we liked them the best and I think they must know a good bit of Irish music - they've been playing in L.I. bars/clubs for years and I'm sure they've done many a St. Patrick's Day party.

Full House - they will meet your needs
I am a Full House fan for many years, having seen them in bars, and an advocate of their wedding performances, having used them last June for my wedding. My husband and I LOVED them, and we looked at alot of other bands. Joe Scollo was such a pleasure to work with, and the band learned every song that we wanted as a special request. Turns out, they were a few steps ahead of us - some of our special requests they had already learned b/c they have a very talented female lead who already knew the songs. I am sure that they can meet your needs for Irish music at your wedding - just call Joe and ask. About the only thing he won't be able to guarantee is an Irish brogue, since he's Italian! ;)
