fuming..

FH cousin is getting married 9/2013 and I her dress is Maggie Sottero Lorie ...

My dress is very similar...lace, belt, cap sleeves.

If I recall correctly, is this the same cousin who was going to be getting married the same day as you? Or am I making that up?

Ugh, that is so frustrating! Hopefully you have different enough body types that it will look unique on each of you

I'm sorry, but unless FH's cousin already knew what your dress looked like prior to her buying it, I don't think you really have a reason to be pissed off. What if she fell in love with that particular dress just as you fell in love with yours?

Maggie Sottero also isn't exactly an obscure designer, and chances are you two aren't the only ones with very similar dresses. I doubt people who attend both weddings will even notice the dresses look similar or remember what her dress looked like 8 months prior. You also both might wear the dress differently so it won't look the same.

If I sound harsh, I don't intend to. I just don't see a reason to be upset about something that's pretty trivial in the grand scheme of things.

No this is a different cousin ...

FH cousin has asked me every detail of my wedding from my flowers to teh designer and style of dress. It will look different on me and my dress is MY dress and is stunning , but it's just the principal...

I don't think you should be pissed off, I can't even remember what the bride wore at the wedding I went to last weekend. People won't notice unless you say something. Don't worry about things that are out of your control. Rock your dress! :)

My sister and our cousin wore the exact same dress to their weddings and I don't think anyone noticed. They also had the exact same bridesmaid dresses, but in different colors! They hadn't talked about it either, it was just what they both ended up choosing at david's bridal! Their body types were so different that in the end it wasn't even a thing, and there was only 2 1/2 months between their weddings. On the bright side you have 8 months between your weddings and people probably won't even remember her dress, they'll just see how beautiful you look!
